Batik trip. Part 2.

Today we are going to the trip and print the batik at a Batik shop, Jadi Batek.

We get to watch the pros do it before we start.

This is Canting, the traditional "pencil" for drawing batik. But instead of using lead, wax is being melted and poured into a small well near the tip. The wax prevent the paint to spread over the "drawing".

Finish tracing.

Trying out colours. There are a lot, of colours available to mix and try out.

Done painting it. The stain glass patter can be found on the carpet.

Colours and painting style influenced from stain glass.
